Somalia’s Council of Interstate Cooperation meeting will kick off today in Kismayo Southern Somalia; all regional State presidents are in Kismayo.
Most of them reached yesterday as South West State President arrived this morning, also UN Envoy reached Kismayo this morning.
The top agenda of this Four days meeting is to focus on political rift between them and Federal Government of Somalia.
This rift comes as most of Federal Member state presidents face election challenges; some of them are worrying Federal Government’s intervene on elections.
Sharif Hassan Sheik Adam SWS President is the first leader, who will face tuff Election race as presidential election will take place on next November, Puntland President Abdi Wali Gaas is the second regional leader who is facing competitive election which will take place on Early January 2019.
Current Political rift is between Federal Government and Jubaland State after Regional State deported Commanders appointed by Central Government.
