President Qoor-Qoor finally travels to Dhusamareeb today after a long absence.

The president of Galmudug state Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor-Qoor who canceled his trip to Dhusamareb yesterday is scheduled to travel to the capital of his administration today after a 49-day absence.

Galmudug’s Constitution stipulates that a president cannot be away from the region for more than 45 days although the president was attending political meetings in Mogadishu to Make things work out for the elections to take place .

Qoor-Qoor who was among those who were discussing the 17th September 2020 agreement, will today travel to dhusamareeb and be back to mugadishu tomorrow to attend the on going meeting .

Galmudug officials told Mustaqbal that President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor-Qoor’s visit came after some lawmakers criticized him for being out of the capital for longer than the constitutional deadline.

Parliamentary sessions are on hold, with most of the lawmakers absent from Dhusamareb, and the Galmudug presidency has pressured the legislature not to hold it accountable.
