Minister Beyle: “There is inadequate of funding! the subsidy was cut off in December 2020”

The Minister of Finance of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia Abdirahman Duale Bayle spoke about the economic situation in the country and presented the government’s inadequate of funds.

Bayle said that the money used to be given to the federal government has been cut off leaving the country in financial crisis. He said the only way to overcome this hardship is for the people of the country to deposit money in the prepared accounts. .

The Minister said Saudi Arabia has given Somalia one million dollars as Qatar has also donated something but things are getting worse since the money is now over.

Minister Abdirahman Duale Bayle said that on Sunday, the outgoing President and the Prime Minister of the outgoing government are asking the public to deposit money in the accounts prepared by the ministry.

“I know the president will talk to the people here, the prime minister will come with him, we are left alone and we will have to consult later they will need us,” said the Somali finance minister.
