Kate Foster: UK will not Support term extension.

Kate Foster The British Ambassador to Somalia  met with Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Khadar Guled today.Kate said she had discussed the current political situation with Mahdi Guled. She said the UK will not support the extension and it is urgent that the Somali leadership return to an agreed-upon electoral process.

Government Spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Maalimuu said Kate Foster and Mahdi Guled discussed the current political situation, strengthening ties and co-operation between the two countries, the economy and security.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said that Kate and Guled debated on strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries and the overall situation in the country in terms of politics, economic development, security and humanitarian issues.
