Somalia: Prime Minister Roble opened Drought Relief Conference in Mogadishu.

Mohamed Hussein Roble Prime minister of federal government of Somalia has inaugurated the National Drought Relief Conference in Mogadishu which will focus on assisting the Somali people affected by the severe drought in the country.

The conference, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Roble, was attended by regional presidents, the Union of Candidates, politicians and other segments of society such as business people, religious leaders, women, youth, traditional elders and the education community.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, addressed a joint press conference in Mogadishu raised his concerns on the devastating effects of drought in the country that has caused death in some parts of our country

“There is a severe drought in the country that has affected people and animals. Millions of people are facing severe food and food shortages due to the failure of the expected rains. People have lost their livestock due to the drought. dishay. In some regions there have been deaths due to thirst. ” according to Prime Minister Roble.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble thanked the donor countries and called for more aid to be provided to those affected by the drought. Roble appealed to the people of Somalia, saying it was important to help those affected by the drought.

The purpose of the conference is to get the Somali people involved in the relief efforts for the Somali people who are suffering from drought in different parts of the country. The Prime Minister has appointed a Drought Relief Committee on 19 February 2022 comprising 36 members of the Council of Ministers and some members of civil society.
