Former Somalia President Farmajo Criticizes Outcomes of Mogadishu National Consultative Council Meeting

2. The Constitution: The former president expressed disappointment that the conference did not focus on reverting to the constitutional framework previously agreed upon. He remarked, “The conference was expected to return to the constitutional system that was agreed upon, and it is unfortunate that the country’s leadership still keep going.”

3. Regional Government Elections: Farmajo voiced concerns over the handling of regional government elections, suggesting that the current strategies could heighten political tensions rather than alleviate them. He emphasized the need for a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
