Somalia: Minister of Youth and Sports meet with Chinese Ambassador agree to strengthen and inspire youth exchanges and strengthen sports cooperation

Somalia and China have agreed to strengthen and inspire youth exchanges and communications following a meeting that was held yesterday between Minister of Youth and Sports of the federal government of Somalia Mohamed Barre Mohamud and Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Ambassador Wang Yu.

The two sides exchanged views on developing traditional China-Somalia friendship, fostering youth exchanges and strengthening sports cooperation between the federal government of Somalia and the Chinese government.

Ambassador Wang indicated China willingness to closely work with the federal government of Somalia to uphold and strengthen their diplomatic ties , cooperate not only in sports but other sectors to achieve more new results in their bilateral relationship, bringing greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Mohamed Barre Mohamud, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the federal government of Somalia thanked ambassador Wang indicating the importance of strengthening sports cooperation between the two countries. He said several career opportunities are available in sports cooperation and promised to closely work with the ambassador

Sports serve as a powerful tool for social integration, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and promoting unity across borders. China and Somalia agreeing to strengthen and inspire youth exchanges , communications and strengthening sporting cooperation is a milestone achievement in economic improvement and improving trade relations between the two countries.

China supports Somalia in safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as in its peace and development process, and both the countries should firmly support each other on issues concerning their core interests and major concerns the leaders agreed.
