Somali Ambassador to Djibouti Salad Ali Jelle attended a meeting of finance ministers from the Horn of Africa, as well as officials from the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The meeting was meant to discuss on how to promote the integration of trade in the region, and in particular focus on building roads traveling between countries in the region as a whole.
Specifically, the ministers further deliberated on the Horn of Africa implementation of the train lines and important business opportunities in the region.
The Meeting in Djibouti capital, Djibouti follows a conference held last year in Djibouti, which discussed the integration of trade in the Horn of Africa.
H.E Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia attended the attending a meeting with Finance Ministers of Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia and Sudan to discuss the progress of the Horn of Africa Initiative in areas such as trade, energy and building a regional digital eco-system.
