The Somali Armed Forces Court sitting in Puntland has once again sentenced to 10 men to death mostly youths, who were convicted of being members of Alshabab and who committed murders and explosions in Galkayo , the capital of Mudug Region.
Among the ten people, two were found guilty of killing late Journalist Jamal Farah Adan who was a journalist based in North Galkayo until his killing .
The names of 10 men sentenced to death are:
1-Adde Abdullahi Mohamed Elmi. 2-Abdiqani Suleiman Jama Saylor.
3- Hassan Jama Mohamed.
4-Mohamed Ali Ahmed Moses.
5- Farhan Faisal Salat Hirsi.
6- Abdullahi Faisal Hussein.
7- Barkhad Awil Hirsi Nur.
8-Lebanon Adam Moses.
9-Abdiqani Farhan.
10-Abdirahman Awil.
Earlier this month when Puntland executed 19 men of the Al-Shabaab group, six of them being government soldiers who were convicted of committing murders and explosions in Bosaso and Galka’ayo.
The government has heightened dealing firmly with people accused of being members of Al-Shabaab particularly government officials.
A week ago, the government has sent stern warning to government officials who are sympathizers or facilitators of Alshabab adding that they will be dealt with with no mercy.
The development comes as the president is expected to launch second liberation war against Al-Shabaab group.
