PM Hamza Condemns Killing of Somali Soldiers in El-Baraf Incident and Retaliatory Murders.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre of the Federal Government of Somalia has condemned inter-clan violence and retaliatory killings, describing them as tragic and unacceptable acts that target innocent lives, including members of the nation’s security forces.

The Prime Minister specifically denounced the recent killing of Somali National Army (SNA) personnel in El-Baraf, located in HirShabelle’s Middle Shabelle region. The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage, involved the murder of six soldiers serving in the defense of the nation.

“It is incomprehensible and deeply shameful to take the life of a Somali youth who sacrifices day and night to protect you. There is no greater dishonor,” said Prime Minister Hamza, emphasizing that such acts reflect one of Somalia’s gravest social challenges.

The Federal Government of Somalia has initiated investigations into the killings, with several suspects currently in custody. Authorities are under pressure to deliver results from their inquiry and ensure justice is served for the soldiers who lost their lives.

The incident has reignited calls for stronger measures to curb inter-clan violence and protect those who dedicate their lives to the nation’s safety and stability.
