MP Mohamed Ahmed (Berey) resigns as a member of the Joint Commission for the 10th Presidential Election.

Lawmaker Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed (Berey) has resigned as a member of the Joint Commission for the 10th Presidential Election representing the House of the People & the Upper House of the Federal Parliament.

A letter signed by the Speaker of the House of the People of the 11th Parliament Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) stated the reason was private but not disclosed.

Chairman Aden Madobe filled the vacancy left by MP Berey for the members of the 10th Presidential Election Commission, and was replaced by MP Abdirahman Mohamed Sheikh.

Lawmaker Mohamed Ahmed (Berey), whose constituency is Jowhar, Hir-Shabelle state, ran for the post of Chairman of the Joint Presidential Election with 5 votes.
