Yesterday, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisaid Muse Ali, received in Mogadishu the Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Luca Maestripieri, to discuss strengthening beneficial cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
The Director shared views with the Minister on Italy’s development strategy for strengthening Somalia’s relations in the areas of reconstruction and economic development, noting that his visit to Somalia demonstrates the importance of the Italian Government’s co-operation with Somalia.
The Minister thanked the Italian Government for its support to Somalia, and underlined that Somalia is committed to developing strong bilateral relations with Italy.
Lately, Somalia has scaled up bilateral relations with many countries jostling up to partner with Somalia in various areas of trade and other economic development agendas.
