Hafidh Ameir Hassan, Tanzanian Samia Suluhu’s husband has died.
The announcement was made today by vice president Deogratius Ndjembi.
He said Hassan died today at 8 am while receiving treatment for heart problems.
“We are saddened to announce the death of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, the husband of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. H died today at 8 am in Zanzibar where he was receiving treatment for heart problems,” Ndejembi announced.
The vice president said funeral plans are ongoing in Zanzibar.
