The Speaker of Djibouti’s National Assembly, Dileyta Mohamed Dileyta, is set to arrive in Mogadishu today, leading a delegation to Somalia in response to an official invitation from his Somali counterpart. The arrival of the Speaker has been confirmed by various sources, and a preliminary delegation has already reached Mogadishu to prepare for the official welcome ceremony.
During his stay in Mogadishu, Speaker Dileyta will engage in high-level discussions with Somali parliamentary leaders, senior government officials, and other representatives. The meetings will focus on enhancing the longstanding diplomatic relations between Somalia and Djibouti and discussing regional cooperation and shared security challenges.
Additionally, Djiboutian members of parliament accompanying Speaker Dileyta are scheduled to hold meetings with Somali legislators, particularly the Friendship Committee, which oversees inter-parliamentary relations.
The visit underscores the importance of the partnership between the two neighboring nations and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen ties in areas of mutual interest.
