In a diplomatic meeting at Villa Somalia Presidential Palace, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud welcomed Ambassador Methqal Mohamed, Special Envoy of King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The ambassador’s visit underscored Morocco’s dedication to deepening its relationship with Somalia, as he delivered a personal message from King Mohammed VI to the Somali President.
During the discussions, both parties focused on the enhancement of “long-standing bilateral relations between Somalia and Morocco, with an emphasis on mutual interests and collaborative goals.” They explored avenues for increased cooperation across various sectors, aligning with a shared commitment to fostering stability and economic development in the region.
