The Federal Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Learning of Somalia is set to release the results of the 2024/2025 national secondary school examination (Grade 12) later this afternoon.
According to the Ministry, more than 39,000 students across the country sat for the end-of-year exam, with the highest number of candidates coming from schools in the Banadir region. Many students, who took the exam in mid-2025, are eagerly awaiting today’s announcement, which will determine their academic progress and future opportunities.
In addition to releasing the overall results, the Ministry will also unveil the names of the top three candidates nationwide. These students will be awarded special recognition and provided with opportunities to further their education, including scholarships to pursue higher learning.
The annual examination results are a milestone in Somalia’s education calendar, reflecting both the challenges and progress in rebuilding the education sector after decades of conflict.
Officials say this year’s process was conducted with enhanced transparency and oversight to ensure credibility and fairness.
