The Banadir Regional Court of Appeal is expected to deliver its ruling on Wednesday in the case involving Sa’dia Moallim Ali, popularly known as Sa’dia Bajaj, following an appeal against an earlier judgment issued by the Banadir Regional Court.
The appeals court recently heard arguments from Sa’dio’s lawyers, who challenged the judgment handed down by the lower court in June 2026. The prosecution also presented its response and defended the earlier proceedings during the appeal hearings.
After considering the arguments and submissions from both sides, the Appeals Court is scheduled to announce its decision today.
The ruling is being closely followed by Sa’dia Bajaj’s family, parties connected to the case and members of the public interested in the proceedings.
The Appeals Court’s decision could uphold the lower court’s judgment, modify it or reach a different determination based on the arguments and evidence presented during the appeal.
Further details are expected following the court’s announcement.
