A virtual meeting recently held between Somalia’s Office of the Auditor General and Transparency International (TI) focused on enhancing collaboration between the two institutions.
The Auditor General of the Federal government of Somalia, Ahmed Issa Guutaale, praised the contributions and work of Transparency International in promoting transparency and accountability worldwide.
Guutaale provided detailed insights into ongoing efforts related to financial reform, good governance, enforcement of administrative laws, and the efficient management of Somalia’s resources, all of which are key priorities for the Office of the Auditor General.
This meeting was a follow-up to a previous session held in Baghdad, Iraq, where both Transparency International and the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia agreed on the need to strengthen to further their cooperation.
