Somalia and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation on border security, migration governance, and institutional capacity-building during high-level talks held in Mogadishu.
The Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) of Somalia hosted a senior UK delegation for discussions focused on “improving migration management systems, enhancing border security, and expanding technical cooperation” .
Officials reviewed ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening Somalia’s ability to manage migration in a secure, orderly, and effective manner while improving institutional capabilities.
The meeting highlighted the growing partnership between Somalia and the United Kingdom in supporting migration governance reforms and promoting regional security through strengthened border management.
