Somali National Army and international partners successfully dismantle Alshabab networks in a strategic operation.
In a coordinated effort, the Somali National Army (SNA) and its allies have achieved a major victory against Al-Shabaab militants.
The joint operation took place in the Mukayle area of BuloBurde, where a garage storing explosives was discovered and four explosive-rigged minibusses were destroyed.
This meticulously planned assault, led by the SNA, resulted in the elimination of 45 Al-Shabaab fighters, including ten high-ranking leaders, multiple reports indicate.
The operation effectively dismantled the group’s activities in the Hiiraan region of central Somalia. This success underscores the determination of the SNA and the collaboration of international partners in eradicating terrorism from Somali soil.
The operation comes as the government launches the second phase of its campaign against Al-Shabaab, deploying over 15,000 troops in a significant liberation battle.
