Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a special meeting today with a high-level delegation from the German government, led by State Secretary for Economic Cooperation and Development, Niels Annen, and the German Ambassador to Somalia, Sebastian Groth.
The officials discussed the strengthening of the long-standing relationship between the two countries, focusing on issues related to economic cooperation and development.
Prime Minister Hamza briefed the delegation on the latest developments in the country, particularly highlighting security concerns, the completion of the constitution, and the implementation of one-person, one-vote elections.
He also addressed the impact of droughts in the country and the dialogue initiatives the government has extended to the Future Council to enhance political stability.
Niels Annen on his part emphasized the importance of a partnership founded on mutual interests between Somalia and Germany.
