Somali President Calls for Support to the Less Fortunate During Holy Month Of Ramadhan

The President of the Federal government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has urged well-off citizens to support those in need, emphasizing the immense rewards of charity during the holy month of Ramadan.

In his Ramadan message to the Somali people, President Hassan Sheikh called for assistance to orphans, displaced persons, and other vulnerable individuals in the society

He stressed the importance of looking after those struggling, as Ramadan is a month of special blessings and an opportunity for increased generosity.

The president praised the Somali people for their strong sense of solidarity and mutual care, highlighting the need to prioritize supporting neighbors and communities facing hardships.

“This is the Month of Mercy. I urge those who have resources to stand by those who are less fortunate. Help the orphans and displaced persons,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Additionally, he addressed the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab and ISIS in various regions, calling on Somalis closely work and support government forces battling these groups on the frontlines.

“My fellow Somalis, let us support our government in its mission to serve the country and its people. Stand with Somalia in its efforts to liberate this nation from the extremists who have plagued it for 18 years,” the president declared.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also emphasized the need for national unity, urging people to reject division, hatred, and animosity. He called for collective efforts to rebuild the country through cooperation and solidarity.
