Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has arrived in Egypt’s new city of Al Alamein to attend the Al Alamein Africa Business Forum, which brings together African leaders and business figures to discuss investment, trade and infrastructure across the continent.
The President is leading a Somali delegation to the forum, where he is expected to present Somalia’s vision for investment in Africa and discuss opportunities for the growth of Somali businesses.
The forum provides a platform for African leaders and private-sector representatives to exchange views on strengthening economic cooperation, expanding investment and promoting infrastructure development across the continent.
During his visit, Hassan Sheikh is also scheduled to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
The Somali president is further “expected to hold meetings with other African leaders on the sidelines of the forum as part of efforts to strengthen Somalia’s economic and diplomatic engagement across the continent” .
