“Armed forces have been urged to end the ongoing clan conflict unconditionally, to prevent the deaths, injuries, destruction of property, displacement of civilians, and widespread fear linked to the clashes.” the statement read
The Ministry also sent an open call to anyone who can help resolve the violence, urging them to play their part in preventing further large-scale losses that could result from the growing tension between the two sides.
Meanwhile, posts circulating on social media have shown armed men setting fire to homes typically built by rural communities, with some individuals reportedly making statements that further inflame the situation.
Peace is essential for protecting civilians, restoring normal life, and preventing cycles of revenge that repeatedly lead to suffering across communities living in the country.
The Ministry emphasized that dialogue, restraint, and respect for human life are the only sustainable paths to resolving disputes allowing families to return safely, rebuilding efforts to begin, and trust to grow between communities.
