President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud together with the President of Hir-Shabelle Ali Gudlawe Hussein, Ministers of the Federal Government, Members of Parliament and other top government officials arrived at Aden Yabal District in Middle Shabelle Region, Hir-Shabelle this morning.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was welcomed by officials of the National Army and local residents known who played key role in taking over the area from members of the ‘AS’ when the same was liberated following a planned operation.
The delegation of the President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is assessing the situation in Adan Yabal District and other nearby areas where the Federal Government Forces are located assisted by the local people known as Mawiisleyda.
The President has already gone to the districts of Hiraan, Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud which are part of the Hir-Shabelle and Galmudug Regional Governments which were seized from Al-Shabaab.
President Hassan said operations against ‘AS’ will be launched in the South West and Jubbaland State Governments.
