In South West Federal member State President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen and the members of the Federal Electoral Commissions (FEIT), and the State level commission (SEIT) & Indirect Electoral Dispute Resolution held an hour long meeting in Baidoa.
President Abdiaziz addressed the chairpersons of these committees over the grievances raised over the 11th House of the People elections held in Baidoa.
Mohamed Hassan Irro, Chairman of the Federal Indirect Electoral Implementation Team (FEIT) who spoke to the media after the meeting said that the review of seat HOP # 103 which was contentious between the FEIT & SEIT South West is underway.
“Part of our trip to Baidoa was to meet with the President of the South West and hold discussions on the elections, the complaints that have been filed and how things have been handled,” said the chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission.
“We will investigate the issues raised on HOP # 103 seat suspended by the FEIT Electoral Commission. We will meet with the relevant people to look into the complaints that have been received ,” added Mohamed Hassan Irro.
