The United Nations Office in Somalia has condemned the suicide bombing at a security checkpoint to the Presidential intersection area in Mogadishu yesterday.
The UN also sent condolences to the relatives of those who died in the blast, among them a mother and her two children and an a female official at the office of Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble.

At least eight people were killed in the blast, while nine others were injured. Al-Shabaab was responsible for the suicide bombing, pointing out that they were targeting a vehicle with government officials heading to the Presidency.
