The SSC-Khaatumo administration has displayed at least 7 prisoners from the Somaliland forces, who were captured in battles that took place yesterday between Somaliland forces and local SSC -Khatumo forces in Sool RegionThe captured prisoners, some of whom were injured during the conflict reported to the media how they were treated after being caught in the fight.
“When I was captured I was brought to Garad Jama Garad Ismail and many other officials, they treated me well” Farhan Yassin Osman, a member of Birjeh Brigade of the Somaliland army, who was one of the 7 soldiers who were captured ” said.
“I was captured in the battle between Buqdharkayn and Yayle , I didn’t even witnessed a heated conversation,” said Ahmed Abdi Adan, a member of the Birjeh Brigade.
Garad Jama Garad Ali called on Somaliland to make peace or clearly say they are ready for war saying that on there side they are ready for peace.
Despite several calls for ceasefire the Somliland and SSC -Khatumo forces have not yet implemented with the conflict leading to killings of hundreds and displacement of several others since the start of the conflict.
