The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, along with a top delegation of senior ministers, has arrived in the city of Las-Anod.
On arrival at Las-Anod Airport, he was warmly welcomed by officials and members of the public, including Abdulkadir Ahmed Firdhiye, the head of the Northeastern regional administration.
In a brief address to those who welcomed him, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre thanked the crowd for the warm reception and said that while he is in the area, he will hold different meetings in Las-Anod.
He also commended the anniversary celebrations of the Northeastern regional administration, adding that they will exchange information and discuss progress on the achievements and developments of the administration, as he stated.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre praised the ongoing work of the newly formed Northeastern region, saying it is steadily transforming through strengthened local governance, improved coordination of public services, and closer engagement with communities.
Barre highlighted that these efforts are helping bring tangible development to the region while creating a clear path for sustainable progress and further collaboration with the federal government.
