The President of the Federal government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, along with a delegation, arrived in Berlin, the capital of Germany, for a series of meetings with high-ranking officials, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The discussions between President Hassan Sheikh and Chancellor Scholz are set to focus on key issues concerning both nations, such as strengthening diplomatic relations, collaborative technical projects, climate change, police capacity development in Somalia, and the new AUSSOM (African Union Support Mission in Somalia) initiative.
During his visit to Germany, President Hassan Sheikh is also expected to participate in a major summit between African and German leaders.
This summit between the leaders is expected to foster stronger cooperation between Africa and Germany, creating opportunities for investment, knowledge-sharing, and joint development initiatives.
In recent years, Europe, Asia, and America have organized similar high-level engagements with African countries to enhance diplomatic ties and explore investment opportunities that connect these regions with the African continent.
