Somalia’s newly appointed ambassador to South Africa, Adam Isak, has arrived in Pretoria where he received an official welcome attended by diplomats and representatives from several countries and organizations.
The reception brought together officials from the Arab League, Sudan, South Africa and Somali representatives, reflecting continued diplomatic engagement between Somalia and regional partners.
During his arrival, Ambassador Adam Isak pledged to work toward strengthening relations between Somalia and South Africa while expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The envoy also emphasized plans to improve consular services and provide greater support to Somali citizens living in South Africa.
Officials said the appointment comes as Somalia seeks to deepen diplomatic and economic ties with international partners and strengthen services for its diaspora communities abroad.
Somalia and South Africa maintain longstanding diplomatic relations, with both countries continuing cooperation on political, economic and regional issues.
