Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Dr. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, has joined Kenyans in commemorating Madaraka Day, extending warm congratulations to the Government and people of Kenya during the national celebrations held at Wajir Stadium.
In his message delivered from the venue, the ambassador conveyed greetings on behalf of the Government and people of Somalia, noting the significance of the day in Kenya’s national history.
He highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between Somalia and Kenya, emphasizing that the relationship between the two countries remains vital for regional peace, stability, and development.
The ambassador further expressed optimism that the longstanding friendship between the two neighbouring states would continue to grow, benefiting citizens through stronger collaboration in shared areas of interest.
Madaraka Day, which marks Kenya’s attainment of self-rule in 1963, was observed across the country with official ceremonies, including the main national event at Wajir Stadium.
