A high-ranking delegation from the Training and Doctrine Command of the Somali National Army led by the Commander of the Training Command, has embarked on an important working visit to Turkey.
The primary objective of this visit is to strengthen and enhance military training programs, ensuring that the Somali National Army is equipped with modern strategies that align with international military standards according to reports from the officials.
During their stay in Turkey, the delegation reportedly visited various military training facilities, including:
Land Forces Training Commands,
Officer Cadet Academy Artillery and Missile Training Schools ,Communications Training School and Military Training Centers
Additionally the security officials also reportedly toured the Special Forces and Airborne Training School and the Commando Training School, gaining valuable insights into specialized military training programs.
The Somali officers held key discussions with their Turkish counterparts, focusing on strengthening training cooperation, improving the quality of Somali forces, and adopting modern military doctrines and operational strategies.
Somalia and Turkey maintain a strong security and military partnership, with Ankara playing a vital role in training Somali forces. These forces are instrumental in ensuring national security and countering extremist groups.
