There was exchange of gun fires that happened in Bossaso between the PSF forces under the command of Brigadier General Mohamed Amin Abdullahi Kheyr and former Director General Mohamud Osman.
One soldier was killed and another was wounded in the shooting, Puntland’s Bari Regional Police Commander Abdulkadir Jama Dirir confirmed to the media
The police chief also said that an investigations will be carried out on how the shooting started in Bossaso, noting that the incident did not affect the ongoing peace talks between Puntland leaders.
“They are being investigated, everyone will not be held accountable , those who started will be accountable for who they are, and they are not being treated equally, and I can say that people are smart, I don’t think it will hurt them much. ”Said Commander Abdulkadir Jama Dirir.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni announced a ceasefire in Bossaso on December 24th, following three days of fighting in the city, and tensions remain unresolved over the dismissal of Director Mohamud Osman Diyano.
