The Prime Minister of the federal government of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre has yesterday held talks with Chinese Ambassador to Somalia Wang Yu to enhance bilateral ties between the federal government of Somalia Somalia and Chinese government.
Ambassador Wang expressed deep honor and pride to serve as the Chinese envoy to Somalia and reaffirmed his dedication to furthering cooperation between the two nations across various areas of mutual significance.
Hamza Abdi Barre extended warm welcome to Ambassador Wang and promised Somali government support and facilitation to Ambassador Wang’s exercising of his duty, and work with the Chinese government to expand the bilateral cooperation and deepen their friendship.
China was among the several countries that expressed support for the federal government of Somalia after a controversy deal was signed between Ethiopia and Somaliland . An illegal deal that has raised concerns and was rejected by Somalia.
