Somali police forces have conducted planned operations in Somalia’s capital,Mogadishu and have apprehended three men accused of stealing public properties.
The planned operation in which three suspects were arrested took place in Wadajir district of Mogadishu, and a statement issued by the command of the general police department in Banadir region it’s said that the three suspects apprehended by the police are part of a network accused of public theft.
The police command also said that the three suspects now in police custody repordely used to steal animals, especially goats, which they used to take in luxury vehicles as per reports.
“The Somali police forces, especially the Wadajir police station, have arrested three suspects who are accused of stealing livestock, especially goats,” said a statement issued by the Banadir Police Command.
The arrest of the three suspects indicated to have been made possible by videos broadcast on social media and recorded by the government’s CCTV cameras that the government has ordered it’s installation on commercial areas and houses on the main roads of Mogadishu.
The command of the police in Banadir region also indicated that the three suspects will be brought to the justice system so that strict measures can be taken against them, and the command called on the people of Mogadishu to closely work with security agencies and report acts of insecurity in the capital on time so that security agencies can respond immediately.
