Somalia: NISA Security Forces Intercept Vehicles Carrying Electronic Devices En Route to Al-Shabaab-Held Areas

Mogadishu, Somalia; The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Somalia has reported a successful interception operation in Afgoye, where security forces halted three vehicles transporting electronic devices.

The operation led to the apprehension of eight individuals, including a national from Uganda, who were allegedly en route to areas controlled by Al-Shabaab.

The intercepted vehicles were carrying a significant quantity of electronic devices, the nature of which has not been disclosed at this time. The operation, indicative of heightened vigilance by Somali security forces, thwarted potential activities aimed at supporting or aiding the militant group Al-Shabaab.

NISA has not provided detailed information on the nationalities or affiliations of the detained individuals, but mentioned a Ugandan national.
