Federal government forces especially the 9th brigade of the 60th division, have conducted intensfied planned operations in the areas between Hudur district and Garasweyne in Bakool region.The Commander of the 9th Brigade of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army Major Yunis Adan Hassan confirmed to the media that Al-Shabaab ring leader in charge of Bakool region was killed in the operation.
Yunis also added that the federal government forces destroyed AS bases and hideouts from which they used to organize attacks to harass the residents living in the areas between Garasweyne and Hudur district of Bakool region.
This intensfied operation is part of the ongoing operations against the Al-Shabaab fighters which is currently undergoing in most regions of the country, which is intended to eliminate the group from the whole country.
