The federal government forces backed by organised local forces have today at dawn conducted intensified operations against Al-Shabab fighters eliminating three of the group members in an area identified as Jariirow, west of the Hiiraan region according to government sources.
The forces leading the operations, indicated that the forces planned the operations killing three AS fighters and wounded several others.The forces promised they will continue the tough operations against Al-Shabab fighters in the areas until they completely eliminate the group from Hiran region
The Somali government, organised local forces known as Macawisley and International security partners have intensfied operations against Al-Shabab fighters in the country leading to the defection of key fighters in the group. Those who defect are usually taken through various psychological lessons before they are allowed to join their families and friends.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said military operations against Al-Shabab fighters will not stop until final victory is achieved praising the government soldiers, local forces and international security partners who dislodged the group from vast areas and areas they controlled for decades
