The Defense Minister of the Armed Forces of Somalia, Abdul Qadir Mohamed Nur Jama, who spoke to the officers and soldiers of the National Army in Hiran region, called the security agencies to increase operations against Al-Shabaab.
Minister Abdul Qadir said that the operation is just at the beginning, so the army and the leading officers are required to increase their operations in the areas where they are conducting military activities.
He praised the people who supported the military in their operations and noted that without them, not much would have been possible and therefore it is required to strengthen their support.
“For a period of 15 days, you have been involved in an unprecedented operations. We want you to ensure that is freed from the current insecurity issues and the circumstances it is in. We want you to complete the rest, so that this country is not taken hostage by the enemy again, as your duties call. We are grateful to the people of the area and anyone who give an upper hand and helped the army in this mission, the enemy is with us and the operation is just at the beginning ” Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohamed Noor.
The National Armed Forces with the help of Hir-Shabelle forces and the group known as Maawusleyda who are local people are carrying out operations in Hiran Region to open up the isolated districts which are facing challenges.
