Somalia: AS launched an attack in Qayib area of ​​Galgaduud Region.

Early morning, AS launched an attack using vehicle loaded with explosives in Qayib area of ​​Galgaduud, Galmudug region. The war resulted in casualties and injuries, although no official figures have been reported.

Officials of the Qayib Local Authority said that they prevented the AS attack after the soldiers shot the attackers before they approached the targeted camps.

They added that they are working on the statistics of AS losses and soon share the exact figures, on their side the damage is small since they received the information about the invasion priorly and prevented it as stated.

The Federal Government forces, Darawish Galmudug and organized local people known as Macawisleyda have started a strong organization and movement to go to the areas and bases where AS plan to carry attacks.

Several times the AS attacked Qayib area in Galgaduud region, it destroyed the antennas that facilitate the service in that area where most of the people live are herders.

The President of Galmudug, Ministers, MPs at the Federal level, Regional Government level, politicians and other individuals have already gone to Qayib area to encourage the Federal Forces and local people.
