Somalia Advances Digital Agenda at WSIS+20 Meeting in Geneva

The Somali government delegation, led by Minister of Telecommunications and Technology, Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali recently participated in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) +20 High-Level Meeting held in Geneva.

This event brought together leaders and stakeholders from around the globe to discuss the future of digital inclusion and sustainable development.

During the meeting, the minister engaged in productive discussions with key figures, including ITU Secretary-General @DoreenBogdan and Dr. Zavazava of the ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau.

The conversations focused on strategies to enhance digital access and bridge the digital divide in Somalia.

The discussions highlighted Somalia’s commitment to advancing its digital agenda, with a particular emphasis on improving connectivity and access to information technology.
