Galgaduud regional court has today on Thursday executed Nur Abdi Mohamed, Shuayb Mohamed Farah, and Bile Abdullahi Hassan. The three were executed by firing squad for killing two brothers a Quranic teacher and a doctor.
On December 9, 2023, the individuals executed killed two brothers, Dr Ahmad Hassan Osman and teacher Liban Hassan Osman, in the outskirts of Guriceel district in Galgaduud region of Galmudug regional government in issues sorrounding clan retaliation.
The killing of these two deceased brothers has raised security concerns and has been the talk of the region. Top leaders including MPs from Galmudug have spoken and strongly condemned the killing.
The National Intelligence and Security Forces, which conducted operations in the areas Galmudug and Hirshabeelle, later succeeded to arrest the culprits who were on the run.
The Galgaduud regional court of the Galmudug regional government held sessions to hear the case and finally executed the three people to death after the court found enough evidence that three individuals committed the killing.
