The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, received the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Wang Yu, at his office today.
Both parties discussed ways to jointly address Israeli interference in Somalia’s territorial sovereignty and to defend the interests of both nations based on security and political cooperation.
The Prime Minister shared the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting national interests, ensuring territorial unity, and ongoing efforts to combat terrorist groups to secure overall peace and security in Somalia.
Ambassador Wang Yu reaffirmed his government’s full support for Somalia’s territorial integrity and its commitment to respecting the independence and solidarity of the Somali people. He emphasized that they would always stand by the Somali people and government.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for China’s support in response to Israeli interference and for clarifying its stance during the UN Security Council meeting that defended Somalia’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
