Shabelle River burts its banks, floods parts of Beledweyne.

The Shabelle River has burst its banks flooding parts of the town of Baledweyne, the capital of Hiran region.

The floods also effected the neighborhoods of Koshin, Howlwadaag and Bundaweyn with fears that situation may get worse.

Section of people living in Baledweyne today particularly in the suburbs of Baledweyne were displaced to the highlands.

The most effected areas areas since last night include Koshin, Howlawadaag and Bundaweyn neighborhoods, and no one was reported to have been injured as people were very wary of the Shabelle river flooding.
Vedios of raging floods were circulated In social media.

The Hirshabelle administration has not made any comment yet.
