In Jowhar, the capital of Hir-Shabelle region, elections were held for the remaining 2 seats of the state, namely HOP # 141 & HOP # 135, which were delayed at various times.
One of these seats was quota for women HOP # 135 and was occupied by Amino Mohamed Abdi may God have mercy on her who was killed in a suicide bombing in Beledweyne on 23 March 2022.
HOP # 141 held by Security Minister Mohamed Abukar Islow Duale was re-elected for the seat after defeating Abdullahi Nur Mohamed.
The re-election of Mohamed Abukar Islow made him a member of the 3rd Parliament in a row, Duale went to Jowhar to win HOP # 141 which he eventually won.
The election of the second seat held in Jowhar is HOP # 135, this seat was transferred from Beledweyne, the capital of Hiran region and was formerly occupied by late Amino Mohamed Abdi may God have mercy on her.
This seat was contested by three other candidates:
1-Mohamed Adan Dahir.
2-Amran Hussein Isaaq
. 3-Mohamed Nur Hussein.
Mohamed Aden Dahir won HOP # 135, this seat is out of the quota for women in the 11th Parliamentary House which is less than the share given to the 10th Parliament.
