Security Forces escort President Ahmed Madobe to Mogadishu

The security forces guarding the President of Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam Ahmed Madobe, have departed from Kismayo heading to Somalia’s capital,Mogadishu.

President Madobe is set to attend a meeting between the Federal Government and the Opposition leaders.

Preparations for the meeting are reportedly scheduled to commence this afternoon in the capital, are underway. Several key topics are on the agenda that will be closely monitored.

President Ahmed Madobe will return to the negotiations after having previously withdrawn from discussions between the two parties.
