Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre Inaugurates rehabilitated Ministry of Commerce HQ in Mogadishu

Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre has today Saturday officially inaugurated the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Mogadishu.

The project was carried out as part of the federal government’s broader efforts to rebuild and modernize public institutions across the country.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Prime Minister emphasized that improving government facilities is essential for enhancing efficiency in service delivery and strengthening the work of public offices.

The renovation he said aims to create a better working environment for staff and to support the Ministry’s role in regulating commerce and industry to benefit citizens and businesses.

Officials stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to investing in public infrastructure and ensuring that institutions are equipped to meet current needs while serving the Somali people more effectively.

The inauguration is said to mark an important step toward renewed capacity in key national institutions, with the goal of delivering improved services and stronger support for economic development in Somalia.
