The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, has welcomed the decision of the President of the Federal Republic, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to restore the Ranks & Rights of the Army that was previously stripped from his predecessor, the 9th President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, in April 2021.
Ahmed Fiqi described this issue as “justice that has slowly returned” to get their rights for the people who were “deprived of their rights in an illegal manner” as stated by the Minister of Interior of the Federal Government.
“I want to congratulate Justice who has just returned for Gen. Saadaq Joon, who is our friend’s Member of Parliament, who returned tonight to his rank which was unjustly removed when he stood firm against injustices in the country, I hope that everyone who has lost justice will be gradually restored. Let’s hope” Ahmed Macalin Fiqi.
The Minister of Interior Ahmed Macalin Fiqi on the other hand said that there is a plan to restore the ranks of the army to Gen. Abdalla Abdalla who was similarly removed by the 9th President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
“There was another general named Abdalla Abdalla and we hope that his ranks will be restored, it is justice that is returning gradually to find all the lost justices” said the Minister of Interior
The President of the Federal Republic Hassan Sheikh Mohamud signed the decision on August 15, 2022 to restore the ranks & military rights of Gen. Saadaq Omar Hassan which was removed by the 9th President of Somalia.
