A delegation led by the chairman of Somalia’s Indirect Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee has today arrived in Baidoa, the capital of the South West Administration of Somalia.
Abdullahi Abyan Nur, chairman of the Indirect Electoral Disputes Resolution Committee, led a delegation to Baidoa to monitor the Upper House Senators’ election in Baidoa.
Officials from the South West Federal Member state welcomed the Dispute Resolution Committee and were directed to the venue for the Upper House Election.
The committee was present at the election held in Kismayo, the capital of the Jubbaland Federal Member state.
South West is the second federal member state to elect senators and President Abdiaziz Laftagareen has fielded 10 candidates for five of the eight senators representing the South West Federal Member state of Somalia.
